Recognize the name? You bet, we brought special guests back in our classic subscription box this month after featuring them in our luxury drop not long ago. Grown in one of our favorite farms in the world- Los Pirineos, this geisha is such a treat to be able to have in our classic box- one that should maybe be featured in our luxury drop!
We’ve found really great results when we’ve lowered brew temps from boiling to 202/203- we find a really great harmony between the acidity and structure of the coffee at this temperature.
A new roaster to the Roastful box! Moim is quietly roasting some of the best coffee in LA right now, and we’re excited to feature the first of many features with them. La Palestina is a Peruvian coffee that stood out to us when we tried it as very Gesha-like–really cool to compare it to the geisha from Special Guests!
More florals and acidity is pronounced at lower brew temps- somewhere between 200-202 may be a sweet spot!
One of our long time favorite roasters, we welcome Heart back into the Roastful box. Heart is a master at roasting these classic profile washed Kenyan coffees–it’s so nostalgic to have a Kenyan this round and juicy featured in the box this month.
This coffee is relatively soluble for the roast degree–push brew temp on this one and feel free to grind a bit finer, as the bigger rounded notes tend to stand out at higher extractions.
