What we love about this coffee

When visiting Valor back in the fall, we had genuinely one of the best cafe experiences we’ve had in a while. We knew then, we had to get these guys in a box. The coffee we’re featuring this month from them has a classic Kenyan profile that should pair really well alongside the other coffees in this box.

How we're brewing it

Most of the time we tell you to keep brewing temps the same, but if you wanna have a little fun experimenting with this coffee, try grinding finer than normal with slightly lower than boiling brew temps (think 200-205) and see where this gets you!

Tandem

Hugo Rojas

What we love about this coffee

We’re glad to bring Tandem back into a box for this month. Enjoy a well balanced Colombian coffee with a ton of sweetness and nuance in the cup.

How we're brewing it

Go flat bottom brew method to highlight that balanced cup! It’s a great morning cup with a ton of nuance, getting a really astringency-free soft mouthfeel cup will be a good way to start the day.

Workshop

Gisaka

What we love about this coffee

We loved getting to cup through the samples from Workshop this month. We selected this coffee based on its unique cup profile- one of four Rwandans samples we received from Workshop, this coffee stood out because of its interesting fresh herb and floral qualities.

How we're brewing it

More of a tip than a how-to- we’ve noticed that though this coffee may choke at certain grind settings, grinding coarser really begins to affect how much nuance is in the cup- don’t go too coarse with this one.
